Introduction to Goulburn Madness

On the 10th of March 2025, i stumbled across a little video called “Guide to Goulburn | Sydney Weekender”. Little did i know this will take me down a Big Merino sized rabbit hole, into Goulburn madness.
in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, Nestles a town named Goulburn. A historic town that holds the title of Australia’s first inland city. That’s all the exposition that town deserves. I have only been to Goulburn twice in my life, both for Indoor Hockey tournaments. Where i proceeded to get hockey balls flung at me in 35 degree weather. After my last tournament in 2022 i vowed to never return to such a hell-cape, however i must return.

Decent Into Goulburn Madness.
The “Guide to Goulburn | Sydney Weekender” video lit a fire under me. When mentioning Goulburn it’s usually the butt of the joke for me. The main thing I make fun of it for is its abundance of drug abusers. Now this isn’t just a stereotype I put on the town unfairly. I have done some research on the Goulburn subreddit, and all it has done was reinstall this notion of Goulburn’s drug crisis.
Under The Marino: Goulburn’s Dark truth
I want to create a Mockumentary as a tool to inform about the drug epidemic that is affecting Goulburn. The Mockumentary will begins as a lighthearted exploration of Goulburn’s quirks, however it takes a dark and unsuspecting turn. The crew uncovers the dark drug epidemic that is taking over the town of Goulburn. As the crew investigate, they uncover a bizarre connection between the drug crisis and a series of Bizarre Youtube videos stalking the crew.
